Reverse duolingo’s path update

Reverse duolingo’s path update
The Issue
To put it bluntly, path/DUI update on duolingo is flat out terrible. The new path is extremely rigid and confusing. It takes away freedoms of learning with the rigidness. Not only that, it takes away several features. To start off, you cannot earn several crowns on each circle, you can only go through a circle and then the legendary challenge. Yes, you can practice a certain circle before getting the legendary. You can still practice a certain circle after getting the legendary. But the taking away of crowns decreases the amount that people want to practice certain skills and know how much they practiced. Secondly, it takes away the feature that tells you what you are going to learn from a certain circle before you open a lesson, therefore making it more confusing. Not only that, you don’t know what you are going to practice if you do not see what each circle is for before opening a lesson. Thirdly, it’s extremely childish. Unnecessarily and crudely so. Duolingo is for language learning. I understand if this format is used for people under the age of 12 with how childish it is, but this layout is given to EVERYONE, even adults. It’s just unnecessary. Fourthly, it takes away the audio lessons in Romance languages for English speakers and the button to see the stories is gone. Duolingo says there’s several ways to be bilingual after restricting the language learning process on Duolingo. That is such hypocrisy on top of this massively irritating and terrible update. Therefore, this path update should be reversed and set to the original tree path that was used for years. Or at least give the option to switch back and forth for the users that dislike this path update. For a lot of users, this path update is just simply useless and in reality, deterred users. Therefore, this path update should be reversed to the tree update that was used originally. Or, at least users of duolingo should have the freedom of being able to choose to either have the original tree or the new path update. Recently, this petition has gotten 15,000 votes. That’s a large amount of people who have SEEN this and agreed with reversing this update. I’ve also seen people still complaining to this day, several months AFTER the update has been released. Yes, push back and complaints have gone down exponentially since, but isn’t going away.

I don't care about anything that's been changed other than the "path" or whatever the list of lessons are called that have been changed. I miss the old version that was more compact and easy to view progress. I can't stand the endless scrolling to get where I'm at.
I am disappointed about my hard bought outfits being erased. I have less control over my learning. I have always enjoyed the old learning trees better then the current set up. I feel like they are trying to cover up this change by doing a funny marketing YouTUbe chanel
I am so upset about Duolingo's new design. It's like a nightmare! Here there was this perfect language app that made it fun to learn another language was turned to a boring, unappealing app. Before we could go to the comment sections and find answers to most of our questions. There were tones of volunteers helping the program to be a success. There was a story option that you could go to and interact with other learners by liking their responses and getting feedback from them. Now, there's nothing exciting, just boring homework like exercises. Please bring the old Duolingo app back. Please, pretty please. Please get rid of those annoying cartoonish characters' voices too. Have real people's voices instead. Thank you. Today is 03-24-2024. I am praying for a miracle at this point to bring the old Duolingo back.
