Oh, for Peeps sake!

Look, no matter if you abhor them or look forward to them all year long, we can all agree—Peeps are a tour de force come Easter. The little pink, blue, and yellow sanding sugar-encrusted chicks and bunnies are practically synonymous with the holiday, and deserve to be celebrated by more than just biting their sticky little heads off. Lucky for you, we've got plenty of ways to make the most of your Peeps stash that just might convert the Peeps-haters in your group!

At their core, Peeps are just marshmallows, so you can pretty much use them anywhere you would use plain ones, like s’mores or Rice Krispies treats. Like anything here at Delish, though, we’ll never be satisfied with just making plain anything, so we’re expanding more basic ideas into wilder recipes like our Peeps s’mores skillet, our Rocky Road Easter pie, and our Peeps s’mores brownies. Feel free to do the same and tuck these into all your favorite recipes that could benefit from a little extra colorful marshmallow action. Hot tip: try not to mix the flavors or you’ll end up with an unappetizing grey color instead of a bright rainbow.

Should be noted—though “sugar” might be the main flavor of the original Peeps, the days of it being the only flavor are long gone. Now you can find Peeps in almost every flavor you can think of, from Dr. Pepper to Sour Watermelon to Birthday Cake. You can also get them for holidays other than just Easter, like Halloween or Christmas, which means you can pretty much make these recipes all year long. Try turning our pink Peeptini into a sweet Valentine’s cocktail with Peeps hearts, or swap the Peeps ghouls in our ghost s’mores dip for trees for an adorable Christmas treat. Sky’s the limit, so have fun with it!
